Working with Data columns in Excel is many a times a necessity. There are various data tables that contains one or more date columns. There can be a need to work with the date column to do various calculations. One need can be to find the todays date. Excel has Now function that helps in finding current date and time and print the same. This article explains How to use now function in Excel?
John has customer spend data for his company. He is looking forward to create an additional column “Todays date”. The column shall stored todays date and time value.
Using Now function in Excel
- Step 1: Now function does not require any parameters. The simple way to use Now function is to write the function with single brackets.
=NOW()
Step 2: Copy the cell K5 and paste the formulas to rest of the cells in the column. This will generate updated Todays date column for whole table.
